There is something magical about how memories can come back to life through art. My latest surface pattern collection, Heirloom Garden, does just that—a cheerful blend of nostalgia, seasonal beauty, and colorful prints that bring to mind afternoons spent playing in my grandma’s garden, the scent of ripe tomato vines in the sun, the joy of discovering tiny cherries tucked between the leaves, a vibrant cascade of colorful flowers.
This collection celebrates not only the beauty of nature but also the everyday pleasures—like the perfect tomato, a blooming flower bed, or a cozy kitchen filled with homemade treats filled with love.
What Is Heirloom Garden All About?
The Heirloom Garden collection is inspired by seasonal flowers, juicy fruits, and those simple everyday moments that make life sweet. A big part of that inspiration comes from my own childhood—my mom always cooked for me using fresh ingredients from her garden, and to this day, after a family visit, she sends us home with homemade jams, sauces, and little kitchen treasures from her harvest.
I try to keep the tradition alive in my own way—mostly by struggling to grow tomatoes in pots on my terrace. As temperamental as they can be to grow, I’m a total tomato fan. I love tomatoes in all it’s forms; raw, roasted, in sauce, on toast, in a salad—you name it.
